A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

!! We can't verify that the mac version works so please someone on a windows computer mark. Also the game requires a mouse!!

Xavier Murphy (1172716)- game designer and programmer

I put the game together and programmed everything. I also designed the games with help from the group, although with limited time we tried to keep everything simple.

The match 3 game is based on candy crush mainly. I'd hoped to add interesting power ups like being able to move all pieces of a certain type at the same time, but had to cut back to finish the project on time. this is more of a tutorial anyway with game concepts introduced one at a time so I think it makes sense the games are only  their most core elements.


The flight game was an original idea. I wanted to use a top down perspective with semi-realistic physics while you dodge enemies and push them around with your thrusters. The thruster idea was interesting but too complex for such a short time so we cut it. To simplify enemy spawning I used a game Jason showed me called 'Geometry Wars 2' as reference.

I used godot tutorials on youtube as reference. The match 3 game is very similar to a tutorial series by 'MisterTaftCreates' while the rest were more as specific code reference.

Yan Hei Hui (1347391) - Artist and writer

I drew the in-game sprites as well as some sprites for cut scenes. Additionally, I was responsible for the cutscene draft and the story draft. I also helped a little with some of the cutscenes.


Daniel Iskander (1452807) - Canva animator

I did most of the cutscenes including the animations and the sound effects. I also contributed to some of the dialogue and story. All the cutscenes and animations were done on canvas. 


Goutham Peddireddy (1463123) - Story and Dialogue

I helped out with the animations and effects. I contributed significantly to the  game design and story, how the world and characters would interact with each other and the mechanics of the game. 


Henry Zhang  (1452729) - Editor 

I completed the editing and splicing of cutscenes to implement into the game, which included cutting audio in time with scenes. I also helped out with the dialogue and character interaction.


Jason Taylor (1253511) Sound design 

I was responsible for curating and creating the auditory experience of the game. I selected ambient noises, character dialogue tones, and orchestrated the game's musical score. My role ensured that the sound complimented and enhanced the game's overall atmosphere and immersion.

Install instructions

to run terranova have the .exe file in the same folder as .pck. You need to download both the .exe and the .pck. the pck file is a storage file double click the exe to run terranova, the pck must be in the same folder as the exe.

It may not work on mac. Yan Hei (Amy) has a mac and it wasn't working for her, it may be an issue with her computer specifically or godot's mac export.
